LOU MYERS (Reverend Tooker)
The Color Purple marked Lou's fourth Broadway appearance. Lou is best known as restaurant owner on TV's A Different World. He won the NAACP Best Actor Award and an AUDELCO Award for August Wilson's King Hedley. Mr. Myers first appeared on Broadway with the Negro Ensemble Company's production of The First Breeze of Summer, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom and The Piano Lesson. His cabaret show has been acclaimed in Berlin, Paris, Hong Kong and New York as well as Los Angeles at the Roosevelt Hotel.
